The aim of Herona HIV clinic is to improve and extend HIV testing counselling to people in the area. Once tested positive, clients are confidently counselled and reassured. Clients are started on free ARV treatments and they are monitored for any side effects.  This has been achieved with support from Makerere University Walter Reed Project (MUWRP). Uganda has suffered from an HIV/Aids epidemic ever since 1990. Currently, 1.2 million people are living with HIV which is equivalent to 6.4% of the total population. We hope to introduce an evening HIV clinic for those working late hours; this will stay open up until midnight,.  Evening appointments will also favour those who don't want to be seen during the day.
