Thanks to Jackie Benson, an old friend of Mandy Luzar, on hearing of the needs at Herona Hospital was able to access equipment no longer being utilised by a local private health clinic. We thank her and the clinic for the donation of an operating table, 2 examination tables, a diathermy machine, chairs, magnifying lamp and other equipment. Another great achievement at Herona Hospital
A hospital without running water is unimaginable but that is what the staff at Herona Hospital have had to cope with since it opened its doors in September 2017. They had been buying water in jerrycans everyday. After visiting Herona for the official opening Prof Colin Green and IMET2000 were determined to get running water in the hospital. Dinner dance, a great success
Thank you Mandy Luzar, Carole Brennan and Carolyn Trevorrow for arranging the dinner dance at Shendish Manor. The night kicked off with a speech by Carole explaining all about their visit to Uganda. There was a delicious 3 course meal and raffle. The DJ and the band 'The Stokes' had everyone up dancing and a fun night was had by all.
